CMWA Meetings
CMWA meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of each month. We typically meet in the wood shop at Sauk Rapids-Rice Middle School. Enter around the back of the school through Door 16. We meet in Room 916. Anyone interested in joining the CMWA is welcome to come to a monthly meeting to find out more.
June CMWA Meeting
The June meeting is at Tom Homan’s shop in St. Joseph on Wednesday, June 18th. The meeting topic will be “NAILERS”. Please bring a set of safety glasses and your own chair.
June Woodturners Group Meeting
Our next Woodturner's meeting will be June 14th at 9:00 AM at the shop of Tom Homan, 104 Hill Street West, St. Joseph. We will be continuing our series on bowl turning with various methods and products for finishing your bowl. Our project challenge for June will be “Something That Makes Noise”. Examples include whistles, wind chimes, duck calls and music boxes.
May CMWA Meeting
The may meeting topic will be "Sharpening Scraper Blades" and will be presented by both Rolland Johnson and Alex Neussendorfer.
April Business Borg of Woodworking Meeting
The first meeting is intended to provide an arena for members to mingle and become familiar with each other’s business interests. At this time, there is no cost for membership and all who are interested in attending are welcome. If you plan on attending, please contact Scott Randall so that he can arrange for the appropriate materials and space.
This meeting is expected to last about 90 minutes and the agenda will be as follows:
- BBW goals
- Introductions
- An inventory of resources
- The components of a marketing plan
- Round table discussion of future topics
- A real time marketing success story
