Son's Bunk Beds

I designed bunk beds for my son in Google SketchUp after looking at many other designs. I built the beds from red oak from St. John's University forests purchased from St. John's Abbey Woodworking. The beds can be split into two extra-long twin beds. The lower bunk's headboard and footboard are larger than the upper bunk's. So when the bed's are separated, the lower bunk's headboard and footboard are the headboards of the individual beds. And the upper bunk's headboard and footboard are the footboards of the individual beds.
